Why ApertureRisks
Evaluate the workflow behind the alert, the score, and the map.
Risk platforms differ in how they connect detection, evidence, business context, and accountable action. ApertureRisks is built around that connection - linking a signal to your suppliers, POs, BOM items, lanes, and customer commitments, and producing a decision record your team reviews and can defend later.
The category landscape
Four tool categories, four sets of questions to ask.
Capabilities vary widely within every category, so these are framed as evaluation questions rather than conclusions about any product. Put the same questions to every vendor - including us.
Event monitoring platforms
Event-monitoring capabilities vary. Confirm whether alerts connect to your operating records, assigned owners, action workflows, and retained decision evidence - and how many alerts became completed, recorded actions.
Compliance and screening tools
Screening capabilities vary. Ask how point-in-time results are refreshed, how findings connect to your POs and suppliers, and whether continuity of supply is assessed separately from compliance status.
Cyber ratings services
Ratings methodologies vary. Ask how an outside-in score is combined with physical, logistics, and sourcing context, and which of your shipments, lines, or customer commitments a score change actually affects.
Supplier network mapping platforms
Network maps vary by data source and verification method. Ask which relationships are supplier-reported, externally observed, inferred, or independently verified, and how each link would hold up in an audit.
Evaluation checklist
Questions to ask any vendor
How many alerts became completed actions last quarter, and can the vendor show the record of who acted and when?
What share of the sub-tier map is supplier self-reported, and how is it verified against independent evidence?
When data is missing, does the product show the gap plainly, or does it fill the hole with a modeled score?
What artifact will defend the decision later - to a customer, an auditor, or the board - and who signed off on it?
Where ApertureRisks stands
Our answers to the same questions
Evidence is labeled, not blended
Exposure is separated into verified, inferred, and missing evidence, so your team always knows which claims are supported and which need work.
Missing evidence stays visible
When evidence is absent, the result is shown as not assessed. Gaps are never converted into a fabricated score.
External actions stay under human control
Governed workflows require approval before creating an external draft or work artifact, and final execution remains with the authorized user.
You can evaluate before you buy
The Scenario Sandbox runs fully in your browser on synthetic data, and the free File-Structure Check reads column headers only. Neither requires a purchase.
The commercial entry point is deliberately small: a fixed-price, fixed-scope Paid Exposure Assessment with a five-business-day delivery target after accepted intake (see the delivery specification), not a platform subscription. Trust boundaries and current attestation status are published plainly in the Trust Center.
What we do not claim
The boundaries are part of the product.
No certifications are claimed that have not been completed.
No autonomous external execution: governed workflows require human approval before an external draft or work artifact is created.
No client-specific exposure claims are made without connected evidence.
Decision support only: not legal, customs, insurance, or certification determinations.

Qualify the Paid Exposure Assessment, or evaluate first with the free Scenario Sandbox and the free File-Structure Check - neither requires a purchase.
